Hotel Xcaret & Adventure parks, Riviera Maya, Mexico

Have you ever wanted to book a hotel that has the adventure included? Look no further than Hotel Xcaret.

This hotel is not only amazing in every aspect, including kayaking and snorkeling right on the property, but they also set a whole new standard for all-inclusive resorts.

You’ll actually feel like you are in the middle of the Mayan Jungle with caves and rivers being the principal ingredient of a luxe and tropical scenery.

If it wasn’t for the amazing food and customer service, you wouldn’t even know you were at a resort.

When I said the adventure was included, I wasn’t joking. Booking a stay here will give you unlimited access to all the adventure parks: Xcaret, Xel-Ha, Xplor, Xplor Fuego, Xavage, Xoximilco and Xenses, as well as tours to Xenotes and Xichen, in addition to food and beverages, transportation between parks, and an airport shuttle.

Explore the Mayan jungle in fun amphibious vehicles, glide through the highest zip-lines and enjoy unlimited food and beverages at the buffet

We were only able to get away for a couple of days on this trip, so we opted to take full advantage of the amenities offered by the resort, along with the checking out Xcaret and Xplor adventure parks.

the resort Grounds

Breathtaking scenery, lush jungles, beach-front balconies, and much more!

This was our 1st wedding anniversary trip. Through our travel agent, (who is amazing) we opted to go with the 603-sq-foot room, balcony with ocean views, adults-only side, complete with a butler. This sounds insane, right? The resort was brand new at the time, only being open about 6 months when we booked, so we got an insane deal.

Having a butler takes some getting used to. Ours, Penelope, was great, we just felt weird about it. We ended up using her to book a dinner reservation and run us a bath one night, per her suggestion. Yeah, it’s strange.

One of my favorites was the infinity rooftop pool on top of our building. The views (and photo ops) were insane. It was tranquil and quiet, due to the adults-only side we were on.

This hotel includes many amenities and awesome entertainment. Even if you choose to not leave the resort, there’s so much to do that you will never experience all of it! Snorkeling, a spa, free bike rentals, free kayaking/paddle boarding, and so much more.

A really unique and awesome feature that this resort offers: cameras set up all over the resort where you simply push a button, wait for the countdown, photos get captured and then uploaded to an online portal for you to download! How cool is that?

We may have gotten a little carried away.

The first adventure park we went to was Xplor. This park was a blast but let me just give a couple warnings: first, this park is advertised as this crazy adventure park, but it’s actually very family-friendly and tame. Meaning that the off-road vehicles go like 3 miles an hour. So, if you are planning to go there to get crazy, this may not be your scene.

**warning: do not buy the photo packages the park offers**

I made the mistake of purchasing the photo package for this park. Hence why I didn’t take a ton of photos. I was super exited to see the images of us zip-lining, etc., but guess what? I never received them. That’s right. And they are NOT cheap. After a ridiculous amount of time trying to reach someone at the park and emailing in a million receipts, I finally had to dispute the charges with my bank. After the fact, I came across hundreds of reviews stating they also got scammed. Do not do it.

The next park we went to was Xcaret. I didn’t purchase the photo package on this one (thank goodness) which means that they wouldn’t let us take certain photos. And they’re skilled at blocking you to ensure it doesn’t happen. Like this:

Yeah, I went there. .

The park has lots of animals, which of course, I loved. Animals including……wait for it…… raccoons! Swoon.

Mexico vacations are known for being fun, beautiful, and affordable. If you’re looking for an all-in-one vacation luxury package with the adventure incluided, stay at Hotel Xcaret.
