This is the trip that started it all. This is the trip that sparked my fire. The trip that made me fall in love with traveling and the concept of exploring the world to see the most amazing beaches I could find.
Birthday baecation
I did this trip with my friend for my 30th birthday, and it was epic. If you haven’t done a “Baecation” with a bestie yet, get on it. You’re truly missing out.
The westin resort & spa cancun
We stayed at The Westin Resort & Spa Cancun. This place is amazing! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous.
no one likes a shady beach
The resort is located right on the water, with some of the most amazing beach views you’ll ever see. The soft, golden sand and the sparkling turquoise water will make you forget all your worries. Ocean therapy is the best kind of therapy!
winter vacation in paradise
We went in December! So, getting away from the cold and toasting my stark-white body was amazing.
I can’t go to the beach without doing a sandman. Plus, it was December, so I was just adding to the jealousy of everyone back home.
resort spa
When they say “resort and spa” they mean it. Hands down the best massage I’ve ever had was right here at the resort.
Not only was the massage amazing, but it took place at a cabana right on the water. Hearing the sound of the ocean waves and smelling the soothing aroma of lavender oil was the most relaxing thing I have ever done. So, I did not one, but two massage packages on this vacation.
….And I don’t regret it.
amazing food and drinks
The food and drinks are to DIE FOR. I ate more than my body weight in food for every meal.
Fun fact: vacation calories don’t count.
The views from our hotel were absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the Cancun sunrise out our window was one of my favorite things about this trip.
Photo opportunities
I don’t care how many different places in the world I see one of these, I’ll always take advantage of it. Call me a tourist, whatever. I love them and I have zero shame. I never say no to a good photo opportunity.
For as long as I can remember, the beach has always been my happy place. There’s something so calming about the water. Watching the tide roll in and out is my favorite thing in the entire world.
Traveling with your significant other is obviously amazing, but it’s just a different kind of experience doing it with a friend instead.
That’s probably because we are both crazy. So, there’s that. She was literally saying “You’re a tiger! You’re a tiger!” When shooting this image of me. Don’t ask. You’d have to be there.
Everyone loves getting dressed up to go out! It’s even more fun when you do it with a girlfriend. Seeing all the Christmas decor in Mexico was amazing!

Cancun is a total must-do. Have you been? Where did you stay? What was your favorite thing you did?
