Aspiration Trail is an absolute hidden gem. Located in beautiful Southern Utah, you’ll find many hidden gems like this one. So what makes this one so unique?
Aspiration
Aspiration means “a strong desire, ambition”, and this hike is named for the motivational sayings all along the route.
The first time I hiked Aspiration Trail (with my mama) I was lucky enough to run into the actual creator of the trail! She found public land, paved the entire trail, and put inspirational sayings on the rocks along the way. Talk about amazing. People that are creative, take initiative, and have such love and respect for nature are just plain flippin’ awesome.
Also keep in mind that like most Southern Utah trails, Aspiration Trail has no shade. Hike during a cooler time if possible, and bring lots of water.
This is a family-friendly and dog-friendly hike! My dog loved it! We also ran into a few other people with dogs! Once you reach the top of Aspiration Trail, there is a flag and a sign that’s really neat! It’s such a cute hike.
And the view is awesome!!
Location:
Aspiration Trail is located south of St. George just off Southern Parkway and Astragalus Drive. You’ll pass a construction area before you get to the trail. The starting point is a little difficult to find so here is a map to help you out.
Distance: 1.8 miles

That looks so cool. I would love to take up hiking.
You should! Nature is so healing!
Just did this today! Cool hike! Some more detail… the road that takes you to the entrance to the Hike is across from the Kenworth Truck Sales. The hike entrance is up the hill and just past the storm water retention pond on the left.
I mean just past the retention pond on the RIGHT! ?
Awesome! Thank you so much for the added info!
